Hey,
I have created a new shared parameter of number type, but then enter any numerical data into it, it gives me extra zero's. F.x. I want to insert a data of 1,5 ,but it then re-adjust to 1,500000 , leaving 6 digits after comma. I tried to look into Project Unit settings, but nothing there, no option for suppress trailing when creating the parameter.
I know it doesn't affect anything for calculation or data extraction, but it has to be solved to keep me happy.
Thanks!
Go to the parameter options (edit label).
Select the hand below the parameter (see picture).
Set decimal places to 5 and uncheck supress trailing.
Hey, thanks for the reply.
However, I find it hard to find Label parameters from the main Revit view...
This works for the the fixed parameters, but it does not work for the created ones.
I assume it is in a family.
Go to the family (edit family)
Edit the label of the shared parameter over there and reload the family into the project.
Unfortunately, after changing the parameter as you suggested, only the data in the Tag is changed, but not for the setting by itself.
Can you send a screenshot ?
I am afraid I don't fully understand what you mean.
CN3_Duration is my own created shared parameter, with Type of Parameter: Number, this parameter is used for multiple families, walls, doors, columns, etc. In the screenshot it is used for the Structural column and I am looking to find a way to cut down those zeros at the end.
Thanks for your patience!
If you changed the project units and the family units I don't know why it is still not "trailing".
Can you send me that family so I can check it?
This is for a LENGTH type. Not a NUMBER type. How do we suppress zeros for a NUMBER type parameter?
