Shared Nested Family masking in MEP views

I found that if I have a nested shared family, sometimes it will have odd masking but only when on MEP Views. If I change the nested family to not be shared, it no longer masks the base family.

Interesting. I look at the plumbing fixture, it seems if you turn the nested family into other category beside pipe accessories, pipe fitting and plumbing fixture; it will show up not masked. If you want the shared nested family to be plumbing fixture, I would suggest to turn that fixture off in plan and draw symbolic line to represent the nested family.

I had no idea why the family was shared in the first place. So I just made it not shared.

I just found it really weird that it would mask like that on an MEP view but not on a ARCH/COORD view. It definitely does not seem like it is working as intended.
