Setting the default 3D view from quick acsess toolbar

Hi everyone, A bit of a complex question, hope you can help.

I am working on a new template for the office, and have changed the browser organization. This includes new project parameters with which I organize the views.

The problem is that after I have created different parameters for each group and sub group, when I press the default 3D button on the quick access toolbar, a new view is created, and it has no parameters so appears as ??? in the browser.

I would like to be able to set this button to an existing 3D view. Is that possible?

Or should I add another grouping/ sorting stage in my browser organization?

If not, do you have another suggestion how to tackle this?

Please help, this is driving me crazy.

attached photos of the browser organization and views parameters ( in Hebrew- sorry).

You could assign a standard view template to every new 3D view, which fills in the parameters the way you want. That way it will be grouped correctly.

Thanks for your reply. If I understand you correctly, you mean after the new view is created, to change its parameters?
If so, that won’t help, because other people will use this template and I don’t want it to mess up the order I’ve created on the browser.
Or did I misunderstand?

Yes.

The view template will be assigned as the 3D view is created.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Oh Ok, sorry!
Can you please direct me to how I would make a view template for this view? The one that’s being created every time I press the 3D button?

I'm sorry! I was reading the reply through my email and only today went back to the forum and saw the picture you included! Now it all makes sense and of course it worked!

Thanks so much! Smiley (überglücklich)

Is there a way to set thigh type is used when creating a 3D view? We have types "Export" and "Working View." I'd like to make new 3D views always be Working Views. Thanks for any help.
