Hello,
i have a problem, i received from the architecht everytime a single file of the building. I used as a Revit link. We have drawed all the entire MEP Plant (component with hosted surface, copy/control of wall axis and level.
The last file that i received from the architect is scomposed in 5 part (because to big)
How should i link this 5 files? And not mind losing families, instances and vain?
Thanks
Best Regards

Sorry i don't understand...What i shoud do? Unload the single file and reload what?
I have 5 files i need to load separate...
Is it losing hosted objects that you are concerned about? I would run an experiment to load and unload the various files in the model. Unload the single file and then reload the new files that you have received. Do this in a detached copy so that you don't mess up your central. A test that I ran gave me no concerns.

I tried. I unloaded the Revit file, i reloaded from part 1, i received the message (1500 reference will be lost).
I think i need to take the 5 files and connect in single file. In practice do the opposite of what have done the architect.
Create a new file, link all five to it. Link the new file to your model. Hide the original file (which is still linked).
Unload the any file that you don't need and reload again if you need it. Yes link separately. thanks
To add to @Sahay_R suggestion, link the 5 arch models in the other file as Attachment, not Overlay, then replace the link in your model with it. It cannot guarantee all the references will remain intact and you will lose many dimensions, for example. But elements already placed in your model should be okay.

This is the only way that worked...
