In camera views and some 3d view in pretty much all my projects on multiple machines I get a semi-wireframe effect. Where I have thin elements such as wall base extension or trim modelled on the wall I can see through those parts. Views are hidden line, no transparencies in wall materials. Effect goes away when zooming in on an element.

Sounds like you are describing a common issue where a super thin layer doesn't hide what's underneath it, but I don't see that in your screenshot. I see what looks like surface patterns. Maybe they're not.
Can you hide in view what's underneath?
This is a normal behavior of Revit treating thin layers. Export to PDF or images with higher resolution will eliminate most, if not all the glitches.
It does look mostly like it yes, but there is no belly band between the 2nd/3rd floors. That is the wall geometry showing where there is a wall base offset to cover the floor where the siding runs past the floor.
