More information would be helpful to make some comments. You said you've been working on CAD, but that you were selected to do this task. But you don't mention what credentials you have for doing the new duties (the template, training, etc). Why did they select you to do this? What previous experience do you have for the new task and duties?

Hello all, I work for a company as a "CAD Drafter". We contract with another company and I am a "Contingent Worker" there. Before I started, my company had about 10 CAD Drafters working with our Document Control workers. All of them were contingent workers also. They had CAD standards up the wazoo prior to me but no Revit standards or templates. I have been given the daunting task to create all of the Revit standards and templates for this company including setting up a family library for them to use. I am also personally teaching a few of them how to use revit for the first time and how to use the template. I am also creating step by step documents on how to do certain tasks to maximize workflow. I want to have my title change from CAD Drafter to BIM Manager because at this point I am the only one with the knowledge and Revit experience to manage this task. How can I sell this to my company? Wouldn't it be wise of them to start re-branding their Revit savvy employees as Revit Techs instead of CAD Drafters? Wouldn't they be able to charge more? I need to sell this to them, please any advise would be appreciated!! Thanks! (in advance)
