Hi
I want to show a few selected items into my underlay floor. For example, there is a double-height space in the foyer area, so I want to show faded furniture into that area while making the second floor, but not rest of the ground floor floor. Please help
You can use filters to hide part of the furniture in underlay, filter by properties or selection.
Do you actually need an underlay? Can't you adjust the view range so that you can see to the bottom of the double volume space?
Does it have to be an underlay or are you just trying to see the objects below in halftone? You could just change the "View Range". Then halftone those objects with an override. You can either look deep on the level that you are on or change the "View Depth" to the level below. See image below.

I was just wondering the same thing. Also my initial answer I think might not cover your question when rereading it, as I think it was about an inverted selection so then you would have overlapping model categories to filter... that's probably a little more difficult/if even possible.
Also note that the <Beyond> linestyle is the default linestyle for lines that are between the Bottom and the view depth, so you don't need to over-ride the lines. Change the properties under Manage-additional settings.
Easiest maybe is to just draw annotation detail lines in the view using the overlay, turn it off afterwards/change template ie.
