Use a generic model adaptive template. This will be, let's say, "Family 1". In this family, create a spline with 3 points (or 4). Separately, make "Family 2", a generic model family, work-plane based, not always vertical, and draw a flat closed shape with model lines. "Family 2" will be your profile. Load "Family 2" into "Family 1". In "Family 1", create a reference point somewhere along the spline. Now, create an instance of "Family 2", and place it by workplane. Set the workplane to be one of the planes of the new point, the plane that is perpendicular to the spline. Put "Family 2" there. Now, select both the spline and "Family2", and do Create Form. Now, select the 3 or 4 points of the spline and do "Make Adaptive". Load "Family 1" into a project, click 3 or 4 points in a plan view, and now you have a family that can make multiple benches with different shapes and the same profile.
