Seeing Lights, Switch’s, and outlets...

This is probably a stupid question, but the can lighting I placed can be seen from the level 1 ceiling and not from level 1 where the switches and outlets are.  I’ve played with ‘view range’ and made switches and outlet disappear but can’t make the lights appear.   I’m working on an ADU inside a garage.  So, there are 2 ceilings: the ADU has 1 ceiling and the second story is above that.  If I use the ceiling for the ADU, I can place and see the lighting but only in the ceiling level. I’ve changed the height to the second level, that is 10’, but still nothing.   suggestions?

Raise your Cut Plane Height.

...if you don't want to Raise the Cut Plane in the View Range, you can create a Plan Region just around the light and adjust the PR's Cut Plane -- or use the old Model Line Trick.

Thank you for the help...again.  I used the PR cut plan but it was sort of awkward.

I looked at the "invisible line trick...99" but didn't understand how to put a line in what looked like a 'section' rather than an 'elevation'.  It probably would work better, but didn't get it.

What about using a view template to hide the elements you don't want to see in each view?
