Section Marks do not read titleblock shared paramater value

Hello,

I created a shared parameter for titleblocks named "Drawing Number" to place in all sheets. I also add the same shared parameter for the labels in section marks; first changing its category to door tags, created the shared parameter there, then changed its category back to section mark(As section marks are system families and do not read shared parameters, I did this trick to show shared parameters in section mark I managed it this way.)

Then in the .rvt file, I selected shared parameter and chose "views" and "sheets" in the project paramaters.

Anyway, my problem is, I want these section marks read the shared parameter value(Drawing Number) in the sheets. Now it is showing question mark insted of the drawing number parameter that I create.

Could anyone please help?

Thanks in advance.

And you don't use Sheet Number because of reasons?

In our project, We have both drawing numbers and sheet numbers. Drawing numbers are different than sheet numbers, That is why I need drawing numbers as different parameters.

It only works if you assign the shared parameter to Views category, not Sheets.

Yes. That's right. I can assign the parameter to the view category and section can read it. That's totally fine. But I want Section reads Sheet value.

My take is that it is not possible.  You would have to select all the views on a Sheet and assign the Drawing Number value to them.  You can do that more quickly with a View List schedule grouped by Sheets.

Thank you for the help. I guess I'll use drawing numbers work as "sheet number" parameters. As they have priority.
