Hello,
In the office where I am working they want to start drawing building sections that shows all the 2D elements (2x6, 2x4, insulation, etc) as much as they can, so once they create details, they can just create a callout (drafting view) and everything is already there.
Is this possible? so far when I put detail components on a section and then I create a callout, all these detail components are not shown.
I would really appreciate if someone can tell me the way to make it work or if this is something that cannot be done in revit.
Thanks.

In cad programs, this is very common practice.
At small scales ( such as 1/8"=1'-0" or smaller) you typically do not want to place all the 2D detail components and annotations, as it will "run together"
and print as a black mess.
So, in Revit--you can use "Reference other View"--when placing a Callout or Detail Section.
This will then reference your Drafting View, which contains all the 2D Detail Compnents, notes, tags, dimensions, etc.
Not exactly the answer to your question, but I hope it helps.

Well, your boss has it backwards. That is not how Revit works. He must learn to throw out the "we did it this way in cad" mentality and instead,
adapt a thought process of "this is what we want to see, so can we achieve it in Revit" and what advantages does it have for the design team, and more importantly--the outcome of the project, which in the end is a benfit to the client.
That said---
You can place Detail Components and Detail Lines, Filled Regions, etc. in the Bldg. Section.
Then, select the building section view in the project browser, right click and select Duplicate with Detailing.
Open the view, change the scale and see how it works.
You can then hide all the detail stuff in the building section view--as it will clutter up the print at 1/16" scale, etc.
( We do not use this method; just trying to offer a solution which may help you with your "boss situation". )
Another trick is to create Detail Groups of typical detail items, and copy them around into your sections--similar to "blocks" in Cad.

try this one.
in the properties bar in your section views, change the detail level to Fine and see if thats enough detail.
otherwise making use of the drafting view is the next best thing and then from that you'll be able to just draw it once and use callouts etc

You can work around this problem.
If you've already detailed out a section view, just duplicate that view with detailing. Scale it up, crop it appropriately, etc. Go back to the original, place a callout using the Reference Other View option that points to your duplicate.
