Hello. I am using Revit for the first time in a while and I'm running into a problem with a section callout. When I select the section the create section option and reference other view to the section I want it populates a blank section callout. The view I'm referencing has a detail number and sheet number called out in the viewport properties. Is there something obvious that I am missing with this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can try it with the Toturial of Draft Options. Here you can find a Youtube link.
I hope this helps you.

Hi
Option A
1. Create a Callout in Plan, Section or elevation of the building
2. This will create a view ( usually a larger scale ) showing 3D building elements
3. you can switch off all model in VG and draft 2D detail here..
Option B
1. Go to View
2. Create Drafting View.."ex: Detail-X
this will generate a blank View ( for 2D detail purpose )
3. You can Create a call you and direct it to Detail-X
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pay attention while creating a new call out...it can be either direct
scaled up view, or referenced to other Drafting view.
sometimes the callout can get a default "View Template " that might
affect the visibility..make sure all model and annotation are switched on..
This was very helpful. Thank you!
