I'm getting confused on scheduling in Revit. Long time Autocad User (30 years) - small time Revit User - 3 months
We do commercial kitchen fitouts and I'm trying to transition across to Revit and schedule the elements - lets say benches. We have standard benches that are families - drop them in and they tag and can schedule. Then we have bespoke benches that I make up from a familes to make it unique i.e Bench + legs + sink + anything else. These items are not worth making familes for (I think) as they will not be used again and are always unique. I can make the unique bench from the individual families and then either make an assembly or group.
Problem comes to scheduling them as I want it to be in the same schedule as the plain benches (straight family) The scheduling is not high end - just a number and text description.
Any thought or directions on this AND there is an intention to schedule other items like cookers, etc in the same schedule (fine with multi-category schedules to do this) just can't get assemblies or groups to play fair.
Any and all comments will be well received ![]()

Create an in place family of the same category and place those legs and sink and whatnots in it. It will schedule.
SO SIMPLE... I was obviously thinking way too hard. Done it and it works a treat. Your a legend !!!
