Schedules using shared parameters

We are trying to start using the assemblies feature in revit for our Precast wall panels.  I have figured out how to add schedules to count all of my generic models that are in the assembly.  What I need some help with is that we a lot of times will manufacture multiple of 1 panel so might need 4 of one panel.  What i am trying to do is setup a shared parameter that can easily be assigned to all of my items in the assembly to total out my schedules.  I have attached a picture of my schedule in this example i will have 23 of this panel.  The column called Cast in is my generic model name renamed.  And the REQ is the count field renamed.  The Total one right now is using some shared parameters and a calculated formula to figure it out its just tedious to add my "mulitpler" to all of my generic models in the assembly

Doing things might be tedious. But if it is  one time process it might be worthwhile. In one time or another I have employed different solutions to similar problems. Which, if any, will work depends on your variations and how your projects are setup.

1-Add a multiplier parameter to every relevant family

2-Add a project parameter to the relevant categories

3-Add a multiplier parameter to rooms. as soon as you place your item in the room the quantities are multiplied by the multiplier parameter of the room

1 Is the most (initial) work but gives you lots of flexibility and gives you the opportunity to set initial values.

2 Is quicker to to implement but might give much more repetitive work.

3 Can be a nice quick solution without needing to much initial and too much repetitive work.

Another possible route might be to do partial automation with the use of Dynamo.

It will be a matter of analyzing your problem and see where how most time can be saved

I am liking number 3 how do i setup a multiplier parameter in the rooms i would proably actually do this to the walls though since our product is exterior cladding we do not setup the rooms in our model.  Just not sure how you go about doing the multipler if you could give me an example of this im sure i can take it to where i need it.  Thank you for your reply.

I actually figured out exactly how to do what I am needing have to model our generic models as wall based and i can link the shared parameters to a wall parameter that sets my multiplier
