I have a number of existing shared parameters which i am trying to add to an new window family but they are not showing in the schedule. I have managed to get them to display but this meant adding the field a second time(see fire window)? what would cause them not to display in the original column?
Ok , so if i pull the same parameter from my shared parameter file and apply to a new family how do i get the results to be in the same column? Do i need to rename the original column the same as the one in the shared parameter?
I'm seeing it the same as @ToanDN. Are you sure all the Shared Parameters are coming from the Shared Parameter file? Are you sure that the families are still associated to the same Shared Parameter? Maybe the Families that were originally using a Shared Parameter have lost their association with it. It can happen if you edited the SP file.
Just remove and even delete those old paramaters from the schedule. Also, look in the Project parameters and if you see them you can remove them there too.

I agree his probably right too but I was asking how do I fix it?? the parameters are working on the older family's. How can I find out what the original parameters are called in case I renamed?or any ideas to fix?
You can't. They are Shared by virtue of having the same GUID. You can't undo the GUID without physically redirecting the parameters in the family. Get it?
Yes tried that taking away old parameters in schedule and re applying but its still the same . I have attached the families and parameters anything seem obvious? What i don't understand is i have one shared file with one set of parameters, yet when i go to the schedules list i have 2 parameters for fire window,2 for lintel lengths and 2 x lintel type..it blows my brain...
Yes see below, should this then fix the problem? i just need there not to be 2 options for the same parameter in the schedules creation...
If the the families already have a Fire Window shared parameter and you use it to input information then delete that Fire Window parameter from Project Parameters.
