Are you able to merge cells in Revit similar to how you can in Exce? I have attached an image of the formatting (from excel) that I need to create in a schedule in Revit. I need three rows to be stacked on top of each other while another row spans the height of the three rows that are stacked. It is difficult to describe in words, please refer to the image. This was done in excel by merging cells but I cannot figure out if it can be done in Revit using a schedule or if there is another way to do this.

Not sure this could be done in Revit. I would say no.
You can, however, merge some cells in rows (select two or more adjacent cells and click Group in the Ribbon), but not in columns. Take a look at the ribbon and see what you can do with tables. That's it.
I recommend sending your data to excel and do this kind of table manipulation with a tool specialized for tables.
Thank you. We are getting ready to switch to 2017. I have been doing research and found where you can combine parameters (ex: width, height, depth) but I have not seen anything about changing the formatting. Do you have a link that explains how you can do this in 2017?
I have Revit 2017 and I wasn't be able to do that. ToanDN, can you please tell us how to this could be done?
Oh, you did not merge rows but combined parameters instead. Great thinking! ![]()
