Schedule Filters

Hello,

I want to show all the fixtures (FX), furniture (FU), equipment (EQ), and sanitaryware (SW) in one schedule. What's the bes way to filter these families? When I filter by family name it workS well with one filter but when I add more than one filters it doesn't work.

There not a straight-forward, one-for-all solution here. It depends. Post the Project here and let us take a look and see how we would get there.

Hi @chrysaJT3MN,

The schedule  filters are "AND" condition, which means for a element to show up in the schedule it has to match ALL filters set in the schedule.

Unlike the ViewFilters where you can define if the filters are "AND" or "OR" conditions and even with nested filters, this however isn't available in the schedules.

So to filter on multiple family/type names you need to have a common part in the names, or another property (common) in the families. If this isn't available you will have to add a parameter to all those categories and give it a value you can filter on.

the best way is the Parameters, for all of your family type like "be in schedule" as the "Yes or No"type, or use the existing parameter like the "Comments" or "Type Comments" or "Description".I personally prefer to use the type parameters.like the picture below:

and now I have the parameter to use in the filter and this a play with your parameter like below:

We use a specific workset for FF&E.

With that you could then filter by workset.
