hi
im new to REVIT
in Autocad we used to place the elevation symbols at different location all around the drawing,
in REVIT as i see the elevation symbol are long horizontal line across the whole model
is there a way to place elevation symbols all around and retain their Z information?
see what we used to do so far with Autocad[image]

Spot elevation symbols. Click on the Annotation tag
If you need the tag to look the way that it was in AutoCAD - open the Spot Elevation tag out of the OOTB library - and add the geometry to the tag.
use below tool.

hi
following the spot elevation tool , i have some farther questions,
1. I've spot elevated some places in the elevation, i'm expecting to see those corresponding elevation numbers in the plan view as well, but i cant see them.
2.how can i define the spot elevation tool to be fixed by one click (instead of the default of three clicks)
Thanks in advance
Shay
what you mean by "Elevation tag out of the OOTB library"?
OOTB = Out of the box
They are referring to the annotations in your default library location:
Libraries\US Imperial\Annotations
can you help about the other question as well?
If you can't see the tags in the view, then check the visibility settings under VG>>Annotation Symbols (or in the View template, as the case may be). Make sure that the category is checked.
A simple way to make this operation click-efficient would be to place one tag, and then copy it (hold down CTRL and drag) to wherever you need. It will read whatever value there is. Or else use Spot Slopes.
@Shay.GagheRemove the leader to remove a click?
Uncheck the "Leader checkbox" at the top left menu bar when placing he tag to do this.
