Is it possible to get the same window configuration after closing Revit when I start next time? I have 3 24" monitors and it tooks time to arrange the windows new every time. Only the properties window and the project browser window is on the same place after restart. All the viewports which I drag from the main window of Revit somewhere els on the monitors are closed.

You could do it with Power Toys for Windows.

There's a tool called workspaces that "remembers" which programs you had open and their layouts. You can create a shortcut on the desktop, and it will open those apps with the same layout.

There's also the FancyZones tool, with which you can create zones where windows will adapt to your needs.

This, unfortunately, doesn't work with Revits viewports you tear away.

I thought that Revit itself should be able to do that. For example 3dsMAX can save its viewports and the floating viewports. In Autocad all viewports are stored within the drawing too.

You have an Nvidia GPU. Install their RTX Desktop manager. that is much better than fancy zones. and it also works with Revit Windows.

i leave my PC on 247 since i remote into it. but after a re-start, Revit goes to the main monitor. you may want to  hange that. when remoting in, the Revit session also has to be moved back to the monitor i want. (Even when my home PC has the same 2x43"monitor layout and the main monitor is the very same one). Little bit annoying, but not the biggest deal.

i never checked out the "workspace" tool mentioned above. I downloaded it and will see how it goes over the next days.

I use Workspaces when I start working:
After starting the PC and logging into Windows, I double-click the desktop shortcut and it launches Revit, AutoCAD, Outlook, Teams... all the apps I have configured, in the positions I have configured.

It still doesn't work for revit floating viewports, of course, because it launches Revit without opening any files.

Unfortunately doesn't work with Geforce GPUs.

To close the topic: I will have to wait until AutoDESK will improve the desktop management for it´s products. For example I wrote them from time to time, that they should add a 3dsMAX viewport configuration with 3 viewports side by side as there is only a configuration with three viewports above und one at the bottom. In the last years I minimized the bottom viewport as much as possible or use floating viewports which are completely restored when I reopen a scene. Did you know, that AutoDESK has a priority list to remove bugs or add features, demanded by users? I would help them, if I could do programming work 😉
