Hi,
I have two instances of the same family (type) placed, each in a different view.
View settings are exactly the same (Scale, Range, Detail, VG).
Still, the instances look different.
What can be the reason for this?

Maybe an instance parameter within the family does affect the view? For example, an elevation instance parameter, or visibility instance parameter.
hosted level of both windows corresponds with the floor plan? If so, could you upload the file for further troubleshooting?
Might be due to fact that Window & Door families are not cut based on the cut plane defined in project views.
Instead they are cut based on the cut plane defined in the family's plan view. Strange but true.

Hi! jnoordzij,
It seems the curtain panel and some details of vertical mullion is missing. Did you manage to check the Visibility / Graphics Override maybe some settings for Curtain system messed up.
No. I said "Sill". Aren't these Windows? If so, you have a "Sill" height showing in the Properties. The Instance "Sill" Parameter. I'm not referring to "Default Sill Height" Type Parameter.
You see, I'm guessing that the Windows are on two different levels, but both are host to the same Level. For instance, both are hosted to Level 1, and the one you are seeing wrong is on Level 2. Check the Properties. What's their Host Level reading?
Are they hosted to the same Level?
...a Window Family with no "Sill Height" Parameter when placed in the Project??? You sure? How about "Head Height"?
And you are reading that from the Windows' Properties; right?
...Post your family.
Hi
Seems cut plane of the Views are at different height..
As long as windows are cut at the exact same level, they should show same result..
your second check should be, Detail level & Graphics display.. there is a possibility that some parts of the windows
are not visible in certain graphics. ( coarse, medium, fine. ) ( this you may fix in the window family )
but two views needs to be same to show similar graphics..
Here are two screenshots showing the host levels and the view range settings. As you can see there is no difference.
I will attach the family as well.
I am a donk. I overlooked that Frame Mullion category visibility was off.
My apologies!
