This one is baffling us.
We have on user who cannot pick 3D lines/edges when attempting to create a sweep within an in-place model.
I have tested on my machine - same version of Revit, same model, same view - and I can do it just like we always do. He tried the exact same process on his machine and he can't pick edges.
So, this leads me to believe there has to be some toggle that is tied to the workspace/interface and not the model.
Anyone know what we're missing?
Thanks!
Have you had a look at the selection tools settings in the lower right corner?
Are you sure he using pick path then pick 3d edges, and not sketch patch then pick lines?
Yeah. Everything looks correct. Which one of those settings would even affect something like this?
The only one that seems pertinent to this would be the Select Elements by Face. I could see if this were enabled then maybe he wouldn't be able to click the edge, but it's not on and is set the same as mine.
Yeah, after I tried it myself to see if it worked on my machine, I went over and stood over his shoulder to make sure he did exactly what I did. Every single click was the same (only difference is he gave the in-place model a better name than "Test"). But then when he goes to hover over the same edges I was picking, the edge never highlights to show that he can pick it.
