Steps to Create a Custom Staircase in Revit:
Start with the Stair Tool:
Use the "Stair by Component" tool to start creating your staircase. This tool allows for more flexibility and customization compared to the "Stair by Sketch" tool.
Create the Linear Sections:
Begin by creating the first linear section of the stairs. You can specify the number of risers and the run length in the properties panel.
Add the Rounded Section:
For the rounded section, you can use the "Create Sketch" option within the stair tool to draw a custom path. Use arcs to define the rounded portion of the stairs.
Ensure that the transition between the linear and rounded sections is smooth by aligning the endpoints of the arcs with the linear runs.
Finish with the Final Linear Section:
Complete the staircase by adding the final linear section. Again, ensure that the transition is smooth and that the risers align correctly.
Adjust Railings:
Use the railing tool to add railings that follow the path of the stairs. You may need to customize the railing path to match the rounded section.
Fine-Tune the Design:
You can use the "Edit Type" and "Edit Stairs" options to adjust the stairs' properties, such as tread depth, riser height, and materials.
