Rotating Family in Elevation View

I can't figure out how to get this family to rotate in elevation view after I've loaded it into a project. I've been having to attach it to a random work plane created solely for this family and then rotate that work plane, but often times I can't find it in the project after I've rotated it because it shoots out into space and I don't think this is the best way to go about it. I saw some solutions saying the best way to do this is instead with a nested family. I have tried to figure it out myself but I am at a loss. Would someone be able to edit my family for me?

Seems to rotate fine.

Screenshots shows clamp rotating on wall surface:

That's not the proper use of the family. Its a clamp meant to hold two pieces of equipment together that are sitting against a wall. So drop it in on plan view, open the elevation, and then rotate the clamp left or right. You cant which is the problem I'm having and I know I just need a rotation parameter but I cant get it to work.

NO. I need to be able to place it into the project in the direction it is currently modeled in because it has more than one application. Then after I've placed it I also need to be able to rotate it in ELEVATION view not plan view because the clamp can be used upright or sideways. It should look like this in elevation view after its been rotated. Notice how theres a second clamp upright as well. Because it has 2 applications and I need both of them. Like i said the solution is a rotation parameter. If you don't know how to do that then kindly stop replying

Play with the attached Family in a Project. It's your Clamp Family nested into an Adaptive Family. Rotation (and Offset) are driven by Instance Parameters.
