Rotate project north and printing

When I am printing from the sheet list, the floor plan comes up almost blank.  The only things showing are the room names.  This only happened after I have rotated project north.  If I rotate the view frame instead, it prints fine.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi Joy,

I don't know how it exactly happened for you.

Here is how we work at the company:

We always swork with project North or True North activated.

You have to know that, rather illogically, some objects do not react well to the project north changes. Especially modeled in place families (I have discovered that this morning). Views as well can be affected.

Here is the best way to roduce views with different orientations that stay very stable:

Use SCOPE BOXES.

They are present in the view ribbon.

SB.PNG

Once your scope box drawn (be careful to set their height as well in 3D or elevation), you can associate it to a view (in the property panel > Extents).

Itt will rotate and crop your view automatically.

It works with sections, elevations, etc...

You can aloso associate levels and other datum objects to scope boxes. That way their extent is automatically cropped as well!

Hope this helps,

François-Gabriel

Hi François,

I have never used scope box before.  I will give it a go to see if it solves my problem.  Thank you for your suggestion.

Regards

Joy
