I am trying to rotate a 3d group and when rotate around z axis all the elements change relative position that they have before rotation.
Any suggestion?
If I was in this situation, and it was feasible, I would a few things.
1. Select your group and save it out as a link. Here is a link that explains how to do it, albeit for an older version, it has not changed in some time: https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2022/ENU/?guid=GUID-65356067-C0C6-4239-8580-08111967713F
You can turn that group into a link, and once its a link you should be able to rotate in, but in plan. You will not be able to freely rotate it.
2. If your group consists of loadable families, you could create a family and load them all into that one, then load that into your project, and you will again be able to rotate that in plan, but not freely like in elevation and section to make it angled. If you want to be able to do this, you need to then convert this new family you made with all your nested objects, into an adaptive component family, at which point you can feely rotate. Here is a video I reference when I need to be able to do that.

3. The last option, which again depends what you need, could be to export what you want to rotate to another 3d software, then rotate as you need to, then bring it back as a cad import. There is less flexibility with this, but it should work, but does involve some round tripping with something else. I have access to the AEC collection, so I might try to do that in 3dsmax
Hope it helps, if this answers your question, I appreciate you marking this as the solution.
Hey,
Can you provide more details with screenshots? If we understand which categories you are trying to rotate, we might give better solutions.
