Rotate 3D view for export

I have a project file with multiple buildings. And the buildings are rotated from each other.

We are also working with BIM360 so other people can take sections and navigate in the model.

Now I want a 3D view of each building, but If I take exports to IFC or push it to BIM360, and they want to take a section, the building is not straight. So the section is not perpendicular to the building.

I tried with scope box and rotation. But seems not to work. Is there a solution so each building view in Revit is perpendicular.

See pictures --> in image bim360 you can see if I want take a section, its not straight to the building. I can rotate my section in BIM360, but its not pleasant to work like that..

Your question implies that you want to have a project north for each building. In such case you should have modeled the buildings in separate models, linked into a host/site and used shared coordinates

In your case, I would suggest the following

  1. Create the scope box for each building
  2. Export each into an IFC
  3. Link each IFC into a separate Revit Model
  4. Rotate/Align therein to be perpendicular to view
  5. Publish to the Cloud
  6. Optional: you can link the main model (cloud workshared) into the individual buildings you created step 3, rotate/align/acquire and share coordinates
