Dear support,

How can I make the rooms visible in a 3d view?

Our customer tries to do that, but don't know how.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Kind regards,

There's no function/tool in Revit for this. Why would you/the client want to see the room in 3D?

However, there are a few Dynamo scripts to create a mass based on the room's geometry.

Dynamo is your only answer. As for scripts, good luck. None of the ones I found online worked for me. I clobbered one together and got it to work, but it was very flimsy.

@Arkance-Systems_NL hello, here is another approach, but not sure if this is acceptable to you? you can rotate until you get a better view of your 3D view plan

(room tags). you can try to rotate in different elevations view or sections. thanks

On the left is a Plan view. On the right is a Section view cut at a steep angle. It LOOKS like a 3D view, but it isn't one.

Rooms (and Color Schemes for them) can be seen, but ONLY where the cut plane of the Section slices through them. They can't be seen as a 3D volume.

Notice I have selected the CORRIDOR room (highlighted blue). In the Section you only get that portion of it that is actually sliced through by the Section cut.

This is impressive but I can't select the masses to turn off, etc. =(   Ideate explorer doesn't even find them   +sad face+
What's weird is that when I close the dyn, the entire set of room masses goes away instantly

Try to copy paste them in place before closing Dynamo; this usually happens, simply, because of an element ID issue that sometimes updates created elements with new elements that have the same element ID, if I'm not mistaken.

Nizar.
