When opening my project the other day two of the rooms and room tags had disappeared in all of the plan views in the project. When I try to tag these rooms it give me an error message saying that these elements are not visible in this view. I cut a section through those rooms and the rooms are there, they are set to the right level and go up to the ceiling so they are being cut in the plan view but still not showing up. I made a new plan view with default visibility graphics and still nothing. I checked the worksets and the rooms are on the correct workset, I also turned all of the worksets on in the view and I still can't see them. I also checked the phases and the rooms are assigned to the correct phase as well. I am officially out of ideas and any help would be appreciated.

Yes, although these rooms should also be showing up in the ceiling plans and they are not.
I have changed the view range to multiple values and still cannot get it to show up. The strange thing is that is was showing up before and I haven't changed the view range between then and now.
I tried changing the view range multiple times and nothing changed, the strange thing is that it was showing up before and I have not changed the view range at all between then and now.
If I hide a room I get the same results you describe when trying to tag it. Same results whether hidden by-element, by-category, or with a view filter.
If they were hidden then when I hit the show hidden elements 'light bulb' the rooms should show up right? but they don't. They are not hidden by category or hidden in the views from what I can tell.
@Anonymous
You see them in purple if they were hidden via Category or Elements. But you will not see them, ever, if they were hidden by View Filters.
I had something similar happen on a project years ago and on one level of the structure all the walls were gone on the plan view and then would be gone in 3d Views as well. I believe i created a duplicate view and they showed back up in that view only. it was an odd glitch, and I tried all the things mentioned here and then some.
@lebelKQRXV: YES!!! ME TOO! You just reminded me! A few years back; don't remember what version, but I did have the same thing happen to me - and duplicate view was the fix! What version are you on, @Anonymous?
I was a student at the time and I was using 2016 I believe. My instructor was clueless and I messed around until I figured it out myself.
For what it's worth, mine was pre-2016. I remember the project and it ended in September 2013.
@Anonymous: I'd submit a ticket to Autodesk. This sounds like a bug.
I am in 2017, but I just tried duplicating the view and that didn't work, the rooms are still not showing up.
do you have a room schedule set up?
do they show up in the room schedule?
can you delete them from the schedule? and recreate them ?
are there any scope boxes?
Can you share a file?
The rooms do show up in the room schedule, I just tried deleting them from the schedule and placing them again in the plan but it gives me the same message that the element I created does not show up in this view. The room is placed because I can see it in the section just not in any of the plan views.
We are using scope boxes.
in that view are rooms turned on?
in that view does the scope box interfere with the room?
are your constriants causing any issues in the View?
Rooms are turned on in that view, all of the other rooms in the project are showing up, the constraints are identical to all of the other rooms in the project and none of the scope boxes overlap either of the rooms that are not showing up.
