Our typical way to have bedroom area to include closet area is making the wall between them not room bounding. That s not always convenient depends on the room shape.
Now looking at the closet door,
I wonder if we can somehow making this door to be non room bounding instead. I tried, either made the default wall inside the door family non bounding or the void non bounding, still not working.
Anyone ?
Create a section view to see where the room is stopped. Maybe a soffit or similar prevents the room from spreading into the closet. Maybe someone placed a room or space separator?
- keep the closet wall room bounding
- edit the closet wall profile and add a 'hole' the same width as the closet door at the base of the wall. it can be lower than to closet door.
Did you suggest adding this cut inside the closet door family or on the project file ?
I m looking for an automated solution, something perhaps comes from the door family settings.
In project, not family. A door has no room bounding properties, it comes from the wall.
There maybe different ways that what I suggested, but none are automated.
