Work how?   Like cook and clean and whisper sweet nothings in your ear?

Are the exterior walls from the link as well?

Maybe the walls of the link themself aren't have roombounding disabled?

That didn't translate correct. 😂

Maybe the roombounding property of the walls themself in the link are unchecked?

Yes the wall are in other linked files as well. My best suspicion is that the linked file-level does not match my own...

it is only room bounding to some but not to others. They should all be hatched in.

You need to explain what you are doing.

Are you showing us rooms in the linked file or are you trying to make rooms?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Just post the files.  Or, at minimum, diagram your workflow -- maybe through a color-keyed flow chart.

1. Link file to shared coords

2. Check Room bounding

3. Check room bounding on walls is selected

4. Check room separation lines are on in view

5. Tag all (including linked files)

6. See below - room unbound

I managed to fix the issue by what I thought was unassigned rooms interfering. But then I did something and the room bounding has been lost again and I can't figure out why. 😞 see the same file below

Phase Mapping. Select Link and check under its Type Properties.
