Room Bounding Issue

Hi,

Pretty new to REVIT. Trying to create an energy model for my project, however, I keep getting the error "Can't create any energy analysis surfaces. There are no Space bounding elements defined in the current phase. Please check the Project Information settings."

I've gone through all elements in the property panel and room bounding is switched on for all. Could there be an issue with the way spaces have been created? If you have any other suggestions on how to improve the building model for analysis, please feel free to chip in :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Thanks

Attaching my file below for analysis, if anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Few issues. Check your warnings, you have overlapping spaces.

Also look at your modelling. Here you have a wall and a floor occupying the same space.

Think how it will be constructed (e.g walls on top of floor?) and then model it so

In this case the major culprit is your energy settings.

You selected "Existing" phase while your building is made in the "New Construction" phase

Further what I would do (on a backup) in many cases is simplify the model (e.g. delete levels) and then try again. Then you might be able to pinpoint where the issue is.

Thanks for your help Louis, fixed it and can now carry out an energy analysis. I am also noticing an error with my spaces and am trying to delete them so I can start them over again. From what I've seen the normal procedure would be to create a schedule, and delete their cells to fully remove them from the project. However, it seems that the space schedule is completely empty. What am I missing here?

Note that "Spaces" and "Analytical Spaces" are two different type of objects.

So make sure you create a "Space Schedule". Note that a Space Schedule is also phase dependent. So make sure you choose the right phase when creating the schedule.
