Hi,
Im trying to create a roof plan and I want just the roof to be visible in the plan. How can I set the view range to just see the roof and not the walls under?
Thank you!
Not the walls underneath? Raise your cut plane so it's above the roof and use Hidden detail level. But, I don't under why you don't just use the Roof Level for that view.
...just to be clear: the Roof is typically placed on it's own Level and the bearing walls on the Level below it are underlay-ed in that view for reference and dimensioning (e.g. overhang dimensions are pulled from those walls among other things).
... totally agree with @barthbradley .... why don't you use the roof plan by itself ?

Hi
1.To get the view range correct for roof,
Cut plan - keep above roof level
Bottom and View depth - just below roof level or roof level itself.. keeping lower than that might
capture other features modelled below
and remove underlay if there is any......
2. Once you get the roof plan view range adjusted, hide wall, and any other categories ( like furniture, plumbing, etc ) in Visibility graphics..
