Roof, two orientations, beam structure

Hello,

I'm trying to model a 2 curve roof and its structure  (from flat to a pitch). Attached a 3d showing the different geometries. Also to have in mind is that there are no parallel lines in plan.  I tried to model in different ways (roof modelled in place using extrusion by sweep, roof modeled from the face of a mass..) but it's difficult.

What is the most efficient way to model the structure and the columns/beams? And in what order?

Thanks a lot in advance and please use steps to explain !

Late reply, probably already moved on...

A Beam System is meant to create members between primary supporting structural elements. So place columns at each corner and adjust their top constraint so they have the required height offsets. Sketch beams (Structural Framing) along the perimeter so they'll snap (in 3d) to the tops of the columns. You should end up with a frame that defines the perimeter of the roof and elevations that a beam system should "frame" to.

Then you can use the pick supports option to create a beam system, pick whichever beam defines the direction you want the supporting beams to span or sketch a Beam Direction line independent of the framing perimeter.

Last you can create a roof and use Shape Editing to offset the corner(s) in the same way as the columns.
