Roof: Sloped layer

Hi all,

I want to achieve smt like in pic. I have divided the roof in keys and applied variable layer. Unfortunatelly once changed roof subelements, roof is having several internal slopes (Tringolarization).

Any Idea?

You can try this:

1. Create a roof type with 2 layers, once of which is variable.

2. Create a flat roof with an opening in the middle.

3. Add 4 split lines from corner to corner.

4. Modify the height of the edge in the middle (might need some math to get the 2degree)

5. Cut the part using a model in place void.

No split lines required.

Above works. You could also do it using modify subelements (like earlier topic if I recall), draw symmetrical at first match height (1) then edit boundary. Think that would do it also... (used add points only)

using modify subelementsusing modify subelements

edit: ow, and ofcourse set floor type assembly bottom layer to variable, top to fixed. But I think you had that already, anyway just to complete the answer... :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Instead of using void, it is possible to cut the roof using ref. plane?

No. But another option could also be to model it in place entirely (roof category), not so easy to change the assembly though (although you could add parameters).

@XXalessio.amodioXXOw, but you can do the same thing with roofs. I thought you were talking about a floor. Modify subelements same as in post 4.
