I have a roof where there are some openings for dormers. The thing is that i need to edit those openings, but as far as I am looking for the elements that have created that openings I do not find them. There is no 3d void models that cut the geometry neither no built in cuts. What I am missing? In the pic you can see some 3d voids, but no one of them is cuting or interfering the geometry. How can i found how where the openings made?
Thank you
You aren't missing anything. You can't edit a Dormer Opening. If the Dormer Opening is impeding you, then don't use a Dormer Opening. Cut the opening via another method. There are a bunch of other ways.
What you are showing in your screenshot is not a Dormer Opening. A Dormer Opening is a closed-looped sketch boundary. Best way to find it would be to do a crossing-window selection of the whole area and look for it in the Filter Dialog Box.
I have double checked and you are right, it is not a dormer cut. Also the only void elements are those shown. None of those made this cut. Any other idea of how to cut the roof?
Maybe a Mass. Turn on Mass Category and press Show Masses and Forms on the Massing & Site Tab.
Maybe an In-Place Component. A Void Extrusion attached to the Roof.
Have tried using Reveal Hidden Elements?
maybe the hole is made simple by Edit Footprint of the main roof, as shown in my screencast:

Yes I have tried to reveal hidden components and no luck. Is it possible the other way workaround, select the roof as host and then look for hosted elements?
Thank you for the video, but when I edit the roof I only can see the complete perimter, no hole on it.
Vielen dank
Thank you for the offer, but it is a firm project so I can not upload it.
Finally I ve found how was cut. It was cut by a slanted wall. The thing is that the wall worked as a void element, ie invisible. I never thought that you could use wall to cut elements and turn that walls like invisible as if where voids.
How can you made a wall invisible?
Also when you have an element cut is it possible to identify automatically which element is cuting it. Because it took me long time to indetify this wall.
I post the screenshot with the wall in blue.
Thank you for your help.
