Roof Modeling

I will try asking here as probably the quickest way to get an answer. I want to get the highlighted roof under the dormer portion (modeled by footprint) to not exist. While I can get the roofs to join that does not eliminate the portion under the dormer. I tried modeling with extrusion and tried using the dormer tool but could not get it to work or was picking the wrong inputs. could someone maybe point me in the right direction? or previous post or youtube video? I tried searching previous articles but was not finding anything helpful.Roof_2.jpg

For this type of roof use slope arrows, not two roofs.

Thank you both. I have never used nor knew about the slope arrow tool/feature.
