Hello everyone,
I am having issue with a simple roof plan but cannot get it to work in Revit. I want the 2nd roof ridge to be the same height as the first roof and the back eaves to be the same but I need the front to accommodate the flat roof?
Any idea? TIA
I have seen a couple of option used for this scnario.
1. Model one roof using the standard method and then the other roof as a Flat Roof and then apply the modify tools using split lines to create adjacent ridge lines then drag to the same position in 3D
2. Create one roof to ensure the ridges are aligned then use individual roof for opposite side of the adjacent roof matching the angles etc either using slopes or slope arrows
You could just make one roof and this would work but the eaves where the flat roof may need looking at?
Just create a single roof and then use the vertical cut for the portion where you have your flat roof
Model one big roof. Use vertical opening cut to cut the front portion where the flat roof will be. Model a separate flat roof.
Or model the second roof using roof by extrusion to match the 1stbroof + a flat section. Then join them.
have a look at the attached video:
