I had to redraw this roof on an addition to a home I am working on and when I went to redraw it, the roof is doing this crazy thing!
I have absolutely no idea what is going on and why it is angling upwards... would anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
I could guess why, but it would be better if you share the file so we can actually see what you did that's causing.
Attached is the project file... Thank you for taking a look!!!
Id this what you are after?
See magenta boundary sketch line? Do it like that and then use the Join/Unjoin Roof tool to join the roofs.
Your slope are assigned to the wrong edges.
However I would crate it as a roof by extrusion:
Join the roof by extrusion to the main roof.
Additionally, if what this:
...then use the Dormer tool to cut the opening.
If it is just an overframe, then lower the upper roof enough so that the eaves align between the 2 roofs.
I see "The Great Repackager" is awake. Sleep well? Ready for the new day ahead? ![]()
From the way it looks at my end, he has scratched the word sleep from his dictionary the past 2 weeks. Based on the feed from this form he has been registering 18/24 active!!
