Roof Base Offset and Pitch difference

There's an issue with roofs that have all the same parameters except for the roof pitch where the eave or base offset height is made different when the pitches are different.  Is there a fix for this?  Is anyone aware of this?

Can you post a picture showing what you're describing? Also, what version are you using?

...are you referring to misaligned eaves?

Here's a screenshot - 1 has a 3:12 the other 9:12 pitch:

Same sketch? If so, edit sketch and Align Eaves. If Revit tells you they are already aligned, then we got a bone fide mystery.

...you might try not defining slope for that small sketch line at the corner -- the one that is a continuation of the main roof.

Same offsets from the wall?  I'll bet the 3:12 roof is off a bit from the larger roof.

(wishing the hinge point for a roof could be specified and the source for the height....like the interior edge of the exterior wall structure and not the fascia edge...always have to move the roof down manually)

@Anonymous: Almost sounds like you are wanting a Rafter, not a Truss.  You get where I'm going?

Yep...But it would still be nice in early stages of design before I model the rafters and ouriggers.

That "other" 3D modeling program does it... Smiley (zwinkernd)
