I am trying to add a tag which shows the RL height of the floor of verandah in the ELEVATION OF THE STAIRS. like the one which I have shown in the Cad image below. However I have forgotten how to insert such symbol and I remebered last time which i knew how to insert this symbol I had trouble Putting it in the elevation as it wouldnt stay there when I clicked to put it there. I have circled with yellow. I have attached an image of the file and the file itslef as well for your perusal. I just want to know how to put such a symbol in. Thanks.

Hey @Anonymous

You can use the spot elevation

1. Model a custom symbol for triangle and line to replace the default one for spot elevation (Load it to the project)
2. In your model/elevation view >> Place a spot elevation
3. Select it...and in properties palette >> Edit its type (Uncheck leader and change symbol to the one you modeled)
4. Back on the properties palette place/type in a suffix RL

Will look like the image below.

PS: there is a default filled triangle symbol; you just need to edit family and add a line to it (called "Spot Elevation - Exterior Filled")

marvelous !!! I am also wondering if I could get a number displayed other than zero without changing th eactual RLs.

I didn't get the question...what do you mean an number other than 0?

I mean the actual RL height by the surveyor is around 1200 . Unfortunately
I started with 0.

PS: I could not change the symbol to triangle. couldnt find the default one but still spot elevation worked.
