I have a couple users reporting that when they undo using Ctrl+Z, the model processed multiple undos back to the last save to central.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? We have previously sent log files to autodesk, but nothing awry has been found in them.
I'll update post with version and command that was being undone.
Hi @hworrell
Thanks for posting on the Revit Architecture forum.
Sorry to hear that your team is experiencing issues.
I will need the journals from the users. Does this also result in some errors? If so, please share the screenshots of these error messages as well.
Meanwhile, can you make sure all the users are on the latest build for Revit 2016? If not, they should be able to update to the latest build form the desktop app
Thanks,

One other thing to check if this only happens when someone on the team took ownership of the workset, or made a new level and a new view in a workshared file and repeat the steps and see if it does not clear the undo list.

There are no error messages. We have previously sent Journal Files to Autodesk Support, and we will be happy to send them to you as well. The individual we sent them to could not find anything 'wrong'.
The build number that the user is on is 16.0.1185.0 as is the rest of the team.
When it happens again, I will get the journal files for you.
Thanks!
Hi @hworrell
Can you share the case number?
I'll also send you a private upload folder.

Hi - we did not open a case (we just know a guy). We are attempting one of the other solutions from a previous thread. I'll keep this discussion open until we verify that it has stopped occurring.
This is from our guy at Autodesk:
Hi @hworrell
Sure thing, Let me know how this goes, and as mentioned earlier I'll be happy to investigate further.
Either way, I've shared a private upload folder for you.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi @Viveka_CD! We had this issue again and I have the journal files - can I send them to you?
Thanks!
The reason a user may not get to undo completely usually means something they did affected another user(s) and they saved already. The easiest method to go back to the last save is to shutdown Revit, which will show that user still has ownership as it closed before syncing (done in Task Manager), reopen Revit and the model and save to central. Basically this will wipe any pending changes from that user as it will show the model is current.
Keep in mind, there are some modifications that will eliminate any ability to go back, and usually Revit will tell you this before you make the change.
Hi @hworrell
I've sent you a private upload folder. Please let me know when you have uploaded and if you have access to the folder.

Hi @hworrell
I don't see your files in the folder.
Can you try uploading again?

Is there any solution to this? Just lost 30 minutes of work, at least 3.0 hours in the last 3 months. Hit undo once and it jumps back in time with no way to redo. First couple of times blamed it on Monday, others time I thought I was just not paying attention. This time for sure lost a lot of work so did a search to check if i was sane or not and found this thread.
Hi all.
I thought it was only me!. Everytime I lose 4 hours of work.
I have Revit LT 2019, and obviously it happens in a single project.
It goes back even more than the last saved file!! So I have to stop everything and check the last save and rework on.
This happens to me when I'm working on a "in place wall", and when I press ctrl+z, it kicks me out and then go back, oor sometimes when I finish or close the "in place wall" command
It started happening since 2019 version... exactly 19.0.0.405.
Many improves had come on the 2019 version, I'm very thankful for that, but this issue is bothering me.
Anyone has figured out a fix for this??
Paul
I know this is from a year ago - but I still see it happening from time to time. Like now..
Reviving this thread - this is still continuing to happen randomly to users. Wondered how many other are out there just dealing with this?
We are continuing to work with autodesk support on this, but there is not a solution as of yet.
Continues to happen randomly to users.
This just happened to me. Revit 2019 stand-alone, unlinked model on my C:\ drive. Lost 2 hours of work with no option to 'redo'. It was as if I closed the model without saving and reopened it. It's always easier drawing it the second time?

I'm not happy that this happened to you, but we feel less crazy about it when we see others having the same issue ... We have been working on this issue with Autodesk and have three case numbers to reference. If you do start a case with Autodesk (please, please do), can you reference the following case numbers and then share your case number with with us when you do make one. @skip.ingleF5EKY
