Hello All,
I'm about to have a mental breakdown because I've tried everything under the sun to get Revit on my MacBook Pro 13', not retina display. I'm running OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.3. Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. At first I wanted Parallels because it is more convenient than bootcamp, but after purchasing both parallels and Windows 7, 64 bit, Revit would not download. Both were installed perfectly because I had a tech support guy make sure I did it properly. Revit would not download, so I decided to be done with parallels and just try bootcamp. I paid $50 for a professional to bootcamp my Mac for me, and he said it was challenging even for him to figure out even though he is certified in Mac technology. I thought that it would finally work. I was wrong. This time rather than not working from the start, it downloaded completely and then at the end it said "error: the opperating system is not supported" and it stopped working. It's really frustrating because I'm positive that bootcamp and Windows 7 were installed correctly, and that I have enough space on the partition to run Revit, it just simply won't work. Everyone I've talked to has no clue what to do. I tried calling Revit at every single one of their locations and every time I was asked to leave a message because no one could answer the phone. The tech specialists at my school have no clue what to do. I desparately need to run Revit for school, and cannot afford to buy a new laptop. Please let me know if there is anything I can do or have overlooked.
Was there an error message why it would not install?
Did you disable UAC in Windows?
Are you downloading via a wireless connection vs a wired connection?
What is the service pack? I am having issues downloading revit. Windows is installed through Boot Camp.
the service pack he is talking about is for Windows 7

if not provide more info than saying you can't download revit
