I have a client who wants to view my Revit file with a viewer, but I have no experience with it, since I own Revit. I've looked online, and it looks as tho the Autodesk Viewer is what to use, but are there good detailed instructions for clients on how to use it? And am I correct in thinking that this Viewer is not a download, but an online app?
Not a fan of the Autodesk Viewer, it is too simplified.
Your client can install the Revit Trial...then search in the programs list for Revit Viewer 201X.
Hey there,
We actually have a new software product coming out that might help you out here. Essentially it's an online 3d viewer.
You'll be able to walk around your model with an avatar and invite anybody (so your client) to join you and walk around with you as well just by sending them a secure html link and it's all within the browser. We have an audio feature as well so you can talk to them as well.
The software is ready to use (just sorting a few things out on our front end site), so let me know if you're interested and you can get a 14-day free trial with no CC required to try out if you want.
