Revit URLs Export to Navisworks Manage

I am using Revit 2015 and Navisworks Manage 2015. I added URLs for PDFs to walls, doors, and windows in Revit. When I export to the model to NWC only the URLs for the walls are exported. The walls, doors, and windows are all standard Revit supplied components. Why are the door and window URLs not exporting?

Have you checked if the URL parameters are showing up at different selection levels?

After talking with mdulaney, we found that the issue was related to the selection resolution.

The depth of the selection tree differs for Walls compared to Doors/Windows in Navisworks. This was leading to a different level being selected for certain values of the selection resolution.

I can make a video showing this if anyone is interested.

Lance,

Is there any way of doing this inside Revit?  I have over 1000+ elements I want to add hyperlinks too.  I can build up the URL in Excel very easily...I just need to transfer into Revit?  Was thinking an Export/Import process...Export the blank data fields from Revit into Excel...Copy and Past from my list of URL's and Import back in.

Is this possible at all without the requirement or Navisworks?

I have tried usin BIMone Export/Import tool but seems like it doesn't like exporting URL type data fields.

Hello atticus.borrie,

There are a fair number of forum threads related to Excel import:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&q=Excel+AND+Import&loca...

And even more information available online:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Revit+AND+Excel+AND+Import

This particular thread was started regarding an issue that occurs in Navisworks after the URL parameters have already been configured within Revit.

If you are not finding an answer in the available resources, I would suggest posting a new thread on your specific question/difficulties.

Regarding the BIM One Import/Export Excel tool, there is support link on the App Store page, and I would suggest contacting them regarding the behavior you are seeing with that tool.
