Revit Units (Metric to Imperial)

Hi,

I have tried to start my Revit project with Imperial Units but it seems impossible.

I want my project to be Imperial not Metric.

I already re-installed the library settings.. I even unistalled the Metric system from it so it would only use the Imperial to see if it would work that way, but now I do not have anything.

I have tried everything.

Please help!

When you start your project you do this based on a template. This template determines the initial units for your project. Of course you can modify your template and change, among others, the units. You can also start with a tempalte already base on imperial units. Also during the project you can change the units if needed.

In short the units are project dependend. You can change the units for your project here:

Hi,

I have the same problem.

If I want to change all units from metric to imperial, do I have to change every single component one by one as you showed above? (It will take a lot of time and effort since there are a lot of components within certain disciplines including Common, Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Piping, and Energy that have to be changed)
Or, is there any simple way to do it?

Thanks

Yes, unfortunately when you have to change the units you have to do that one by one. There is no 'switch' to change all units from imperial to metric or vice versa. So best is to get your family and project templates in order. You can start your templates based on metric or imperial units. Saves a lot of rework

When opening a new project, select "none" under the template file.
Then check the project button on, click ok
Then you are asked to select between imperial or metric.
Hope this will help you🙂
