I have a point cloud that I used to build a new Revit model. Now, I want to transfer both the Revit model and the point cloud to Twinmotion. This is where I start having problems because I can't get the point cloud and the model properly aligned with each other. I can create a live link with Revit and import the point cloud afterwards, but then they are misaligned. I hope someone has a good workflow for this. ![]()
Maybe this workflow?
Here's the gist:
Insert PC into brand new Revit Project (RVT) => Link the RVT containing the PC into Parent/Host Project => Establish Share Coordinates between the two.
Actually, better to select PC in the existing Parent/Host and Group it and then Link it -- and then establish Shared Coordinates. This way will eliminate some manual repositioning work.
