Revit Topography Edges Problem

I've linked a dwg file which have some elevation codes on it and by placing points I can create topography but topography edges also filling the blank areas.I hope ı could axplain. I have attached screenshot

  • If you try to add Points to a Toposurface made By Selecting Import Instance (.the .dwg  Isocurves) then , probably you will not be allowed to do it outside the border of the Toposurface...but..
  • if you create the Toposurface not directly from the .dwg file, but instead you'll make it from a Points File (.csv) obtained either directly from the surveyor or extracting it in AutoCAD by using DATAEXTRACTION, then you will be able to add Points manually to the  Toposurface even outside its borders.

The toposurface tool in Revit will not do a "concave" edge like that. It will ALWAYS fill in and connect the points like this. What you can do is after you have made your initial surface, use the split surface tool and split off the section you don't want, then simply select it and delete. This will leave the concave edge you are looking for.
