Hi
We have migrated from 2016 to 2018. In families we have nested anotation text family for type of sockets or counters etc.
Every thing was working fine until migration.
Right now when we export floor plan to dwg. it shows geometry anotations symbol but not labels.
We have updated Revit and checked for hotfix but it didn't helped.
The only way to work around is to print pdf and open it in AutoCAD but it miss the layers.
Some screenshoots to show more what's going on
when you say Migrate, do you mean upgrade?
I upgraded my Revit Model from 2016 to 2018.
ifthis is the case it is always best to not skip versions.
if you upgrade a model you should do so sequentially, 2016-2017-2018.
this will avoid some issuescaused due to the upgrade .
Revit 2018 has known text issues so is still a bit unstable.
if you export from Revit 2016 to AutoCAD do you see the same issues?
then upgrade from AutoCAD 2016 to AutoCAD 2018 do the issue appear?
Thanks for quick respons
Yes I mean upgrade.
I can try that later because at work we don't have 2017.
It,'s just issue with Revit 2018, export from 2016 work well.
I tried on both AutoCAD 2016 and 2018, same issue.
the only other thing I can think of is if you don't have the lates version of Revit 2018 (2018.1)
this is supposed to fix some if not all the Text Issues
does it vary based on the Text Style?
TTF or SHX fonts?
try to change a known bad one to a different style?
Our distributor helped us.
We had to do callout from entire view. And when exporting sheet with callout not floorplan it is working.
Not very convenient but working.
Change the name of the family and the nested family.
Export again.
Hi,
The problem is in the project file, only solution is to copy everything out and past in new file.
We have that problem with 7 projects right now and it is coming back again and again so cooping out is not a solution.
Do anyone have an idea how to fix that?
We found when this problem appears! View crop region not rectangular, if you set "Reset Crop" the export will fine, but we need notrectangular cropped views!
Autodesk, please help us!
Non-rectangular cropped views have always been one of Revit's most problem children. Can you fake the non-rectangular views - a rectangular crop with masking regions to make it look the same?
Ok, how to copy all to another new project (sheets, schedules, legends...) without any manual work?:)
