Revit Texture & IFC

Hi,

I have a problem with my IFC file. In Revit, i created a building, my own walls and materials. Also i imported png files in this metarials, but when i try to export IFC, can't see textures. In Revit, it is possible to see texture, but in IFC have a problem. Can you help me about this problem?

IFC does not support textures. In fact showing real textures/materials (mainly anything custom) outside Revit is not really possible, not even within Autodesk's own online services..

Thank you but i have one more question. In some forums says export with texture is possible with IFC 4. Is it possible?

With IFC4 this should be possible. Not sure how far the integration. You can follow the IFC add-in on Github.

As we use it for conversion to other parties we are normally limited to IFC2x3. IFC4 is not supported everywhere.

What is the purpose of your IFC file? Maybe a different file format would suit your needs better

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

I am trying to create a CityGml file from IFC, in revit i created all textured buildings and i want to transfer this information to my gml file. Otherwise i need to re-texture all buildings.

Thank you so much
