Revit text scaling

Hi everyone,

We have encountered an issue with text scaling in revit on 2 brand new workstations.

On the old workstations the text still appears the same size as it did last week, while on the 2 new machines the text appears larger. The images below were screenshot from the same project on old & new machines in Revit 2019.2. It is a shared file and we created new local files this morning. We have also seen the same problem with other projects in Revit 2019.2 & Revit 2020.

Aside from the text appearing bigger, it does so without stretching the text box so the end text is often cut off. This has happened to every text element in the project, including text in tags & keynotes.

This issue is not present in AutoCAD, Word, or Excel. Some research turned up a change to text sizing in Revit 2017 which seems like it would a good candidate, however we haven't used that version for a couple of years now.

The only difference I could find between the new and old machines in that the new ones are running Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, while the old ones are just running Windows 10 Pro.

We have tried creating new text types in the project and changing all the existing texts over. This seemed to fix the issue but we still have to re-align our text boxes, until later in the day when the problem re-appeared with the new text type.

Can anyone offer any insight into this issue? I've exhausted everything I can think of.

Thank you.

No we aren't. We are all using 1920 x 1080 monitors, our accessibility setting are all set to 100%. The text is different when we print to paper. eg. if we print the same page to the same printer, the text is noticeably larger when printed from the new machines...
